Rape Aggression Defense (RAD)

Free self-defense training for women and men

The Rape Aggression Defense (RAD) System is dedicated to teaching women and men defensive concepts and techniques against various types of assault by utilizing easy, effective and proven self-defense and martial arts tactics. Our system of realistic defense will provide participants with the knowledge to make an educated decision about resistance. Certified RAD instructors teach this course.

RAD class information, Fall 2024

Each class session is scheduled for you to attend one night a week for four weeks to complete the course. 

There are no day classes, and you must attend all four class sessions below to complete the course:

Registration

To register for a class session, please complete one of the registration forms below and return via email to Officer Cashae Cook at bakerca1@appstate.edu. 

Please print, fill out and bring the completed RAD Registration Form with you and present it to the instructor prior to the start of class. 

There is NO registration fee. The class includes the course activities, a student manual and a lifetime return and practice policy. We do require you complete the application and meet with the RAD Coordinator before attending the class. Class size is limited to 20 students.
