Rape Aggression Defense (RAD)

FREE SELF-DEFENSE TRAINING FOR WOMEN AND MEN

The Rape Aggression Defense System is dedicated to teaching women and men defensive concepts and techniques against various types of assault by utilizing easy, effective and proven self-defense/martial arts tactics. Our system of realistic defense will provide a woman / male with the knowledge to make an educated decision about resistance.

  New 2017 Schedule RAD for Women 

Each Class session is 12 hours, and it is scheduled for you to attend one night a week for four weeks to complete the class.  (THERE ARE NO ONE DAY CLASSES. YOU MUST ATTEND ALL 4 SESSIONS TO COMPLETE THE COURSE).

Male class schedule 2017

If you are intrested in taking the Male self defense class please contact ASU Police Department at

828-262-2150. 

 To register for one of the sessions, come to ASU Police Department anytime Monday through Friday between 8am and 4pm. The Registration Form is located below. Please print, fill out, and bring the completed RAD Registration Form with you to meet with Instructor prior to class. The police department is located at the Rivers Street Parking Deck at 461 Rivers Street Suite B.

There is NO registration fee. The class includes the 12-hour course, student manual, R.A.D. t-shirt, and a lifetime return and practice policy.  We do require you complete application and meet with RAD Coordinator before attending the class. Class is limit to 20 students per scheduled class.

Certified R.A.D. instructors teach this course.
