Safety Alert Update: Attempted Robbery

This is an update to the Safety Alert distributed on September 27, 2018, regarding the report of an attempted robbery near the intersection of Rivers Street and Stadium Drive.

As a result of the investigation conducted by Appalachian State University Police, it was determined that this crime did not occur. The descriptions of suspects and all other information contained in the original Safety Alert can be disregarded.

 Filing a false, deliberately misleading, or unfounded police report is a criminal offense and may lead to criminal charges.
